Whip up a quick and simple Dal (lentil) for your dinner tonight…

Dal is a everyday dish in India which goes with rice or breads. It is a nutritious dish and can vary from simple to complex. There are different kinds of dal all over India. Dal literally means lentil. Once you have cooked dal, which can also be called as lentil soup because of its semi liquid texture. Red or yellow lentils can be used to make dal. Dal is sometimes called Dhal, Dahl or Daal. I like to keep it simple by calling this recipe: Dal. I also prefer to serve it with Basmati Rice. A great combo!
